Making your own picture tiles is a fantastic way to customise your mosaic. It allows you to add your own colour scheme, designs or quotes to your project. To make a picture tile:

1) Choose your design - some ideas are scrapbooking paper, photo's or prints from your computer. 

2) Apply a clear drying adhesive (like Weldbond) to your paper. Press your clear tile into the adhesive and remove any air bubbles. Let it dry and cut away excess paper.

3) Seal the back of the tile with some adhesive to prevent damage during grouting.
