Making 3D Flowers

Learn how to make 3d Flowers

This tutorial walks you through making stunning 3D flowers in mosaics using stained glass petals and glass beads. It combines the beauty of stained glass with the elegance of floral designs.

Materials Needed:

- Clear silicone (available from any hardware store)
- Cling wrap
- Small pieces of mosaic mesh
- Stained glass petals
- Glass beads
- Round tiles (for the centre of the flower)
- Two wheeled glass cutters

Steps:

Lay a piece of cling wrap on the table.
Place a piece of mesh on top of the cling wrap.
Squeeze out a round circle of clear silicone onto the mesh.
Start with your largest sized petals and place them in the silicone.
Squeeze out another circle of clear silicone on top of the petals.
Place your second tier of petals, cutting them into different shapes and sizes using two-wheeled glass cutters if necessary.
Add extra embellishments like glass beads to enhance the flower's appearance.
Allow the silicone to dry completely before removing the cling wrap and cutting the mesh.
These flowers can be used indoors or outdoors.
